Greetings from Ginny

Labrador Retriever, 2 years old

🌳 Countryside dog
🍷 Lives with adults only

My favourite thing about Ginny is...

She has the most adorable ridge down her nose. She makes different noises for different requirements. she is extremely caring and polite to the new addition to our family, my late mother's 14 yr old lab/collie cross. She will even move away from her own food to allow the old lady to swap bowls but never eats the older dog's food without us telling her she can.

The biggest challenge with Ginny is...

Getting her to walk on the lead nicely when she knows she is going somewhere where she can run off lead with her precious ball. Despite being a labrador she is not food driven, as long as we have a ball she is ok.

The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...

She is extremely bright and caring. She is loving the agility training and I was certainly surprised that this was an activity that she could excel in. She is extremely fast. She can also be a diva, being known to sulk when she is not allowed in the water.

What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...

The amount of hair she sheds. I hadn't realised about the double coat!
