My favourite thing about Lulu is...
She is so calm and gentle and is very gentle with children who ask to stroke her. She is easy at home as she is usually resting somewhere and doesn’t seek attention often.
The biggest challenge with Lulu is...
She must have a soft fluffy blanket over her when sleeping and she will bark to call someone to help her get cosy. Like all whippets she loves to chase and is often looking for squirrels when out on a walk in the countryside.
The most surprising thing about owning a Whippet is...
When I was small our whippet escaped our garden during a thunderstorm and bolted. He was found 2 miles away in the city centre outside the main entrance door to the building of my blind great grandmother’s flat. He had only ever been there by car and manage to get there safely despite crossing roads. Amazing!
What I wish I’d known about Whippets is...
Nothing. I was brought up with whippets after my mother one won in a village fete raffle in the 1960’s.
