We have two animals, a Welsh Terrier dog and a Siamese cat. Our Terrier enjoyed having the Friday Suppers enormously which we gave have him each Friday evening. It was nice to be able to provide a meal that was linked to our own meat/fish/vegan choices.
It is fair to say that our dog will eat almost anything that he is given or can get. This includes getting access to the cat’s food where fish is frequently on offer. He isn’t selective so it is difficult to judge if he really likes one food over another however variety is important and whilst his normal diet is dried, supplementing this with other wet products provide variety.
The Friday Suppers are somewhat unique because they are fish and not meat (mostly chicken) based and since his diet includes any fish cat food that is available, the option to only have fish was appreciated e.g., eaten up in no time! I wouldn’t normally opt to provide him with a product in gravy, but for this one, it is perhaps most appropriate. The three types are clearly differentiated, so although dogs don’t seem to remember what the ate last time, it is nice to choose and offer something that is different.
The Winalot Friday Suppers were provided for free but I would recommend and buy them because they are a little more unique and provide good quality variety on top of the standard dried diet.
