My favourite thing about Mateo is...
Everything really but he makes funny noises like when you're talking to him he's answering you back, also because he's from Cyprus he's a proper sun worshipper, out in the garden or in the house he follows it around, even if it's just a tiny strip.
The biggest challenge with Mateo is...
He's quite independent, if he's had enough on walks he will just turn around and want to head home, especially in winter when it's cold and if he gets a scent of something he goes deaf.
The most surprising thing about owning a Beagle & Foxhound is...
He looks like a beagle but has long legs, he likes to follow his nose a lot, we got him as a beagle cross, people say foxhound, some say pointer we just say he's a mixture.
What I wish I’d known about Beagles & Foxhounds is...
How much they follow their nose and go deaf so he's on the lead most of the time unless there is no one or thing around that can distract him, also he loves to chase, even if it's a ball we've thrown he will run after it but once the ball is still he's not interested.
