Meet Merriadoc (MERRY)
Belgian Shepherd Dog Malinois, 3 years old
My favourite thing about Merriadoc (MERRY) is...
her insatiable energy and her ever growing hoard. She collects balls, golf balls and sticks which she brings home to guard in her box. This is HERS all HERS. She is such a collector that she can manage two balls and a stick in her mouth all at the same time. There can't be too many bitches walking round with two balls.
The biggest challenge with Merriadoc (MERRY) is...
To stop her 'singing in the car. She know car rides mean longer walks for her so she 'sings' but is as good as gold on te return journey. We are working on this problem.
The most surprising thing about owning a Belgian Shepherd Dog Malinois is...
They are very, very intelligent and have excellent memories.
What I wish I’d known about Belgian Shepherd Dog Malinoiss is...
How strong they are. I'm 80 and petite so it is just as well she has responded well to working on her lead.
Did you know?
Long before that though, Malinois were true working heroes, serving in the First World War as messengers and assistants to the Red Cross, pulling ambulance carts and carts carrying firearms.
