Greetings from Cody
Border Collie, 6 years old
My favourite thing about Cody is...
He loves to lay on my lap for a cuddles and is so loyal; he is not just my dog, he is my best friend and the first dog I have ever had. People said I was mad to have a border collie but they were so wrong and I wouldn't be without him.
The biggest challenge with Cody is...
When I first got Cody I thought it was going to be so hard, but he was so quick to pick up on his training and so very clever and wanted to learn.
The most surprising thing about owning a Border Collie is...
Just how clever they are.
What I wish I’d known about Border Collies is...
I bought books on border collies which really helped, and going to dog training.
Did you know?
There are many theories on how Collies got their names but as ‘collie’ is Gaelic for ‘useful’ perhaps it’s as simple as Scottish farmers recognising one of the key traits of their dogs.
