Say Hi to Daisy
Border Collie, 10 years old
She came from Border Collie Trust .
My favourite thing about Daisy is...
Daisy is a dog that everyone loves. In return she loves everyone. From the moment she gets up in the morning until she goes to bed at night life is for living. When she goes to bed it's like someone has taken out the batteries. Nothing phases her and she is always up for a challenge.
The biggest challenge with Daisy is...
Stopping Daisy overdoing it. She had major spinal surgery last year but that doesn't stop her.
The most surprising thing about owning a Border Collie is...
The ability they have to "switch off" and go to sleep.
What I wish I’d known about Border Collies is...
They are very intelligent dogs and will try to be "in charge." You need to provide clear, consistent training. Always find fun games that they can play such as puzzle games.
Did you know?
American psychologist Dr. Stanley Coren classified the Border Collie as the most intelligent breed of dog, ranking first out of 133 breeds.
