Say Hi to Danny Boy
Border Collie, 5 years old
My favourite thing about Danny Boy is...
Loves people and he world and lives for his walks, he walks about 3 miles a day and loves his walk in a morning and if not, he will whine at your tll you take him for a walk, so loving and all our other dogs at the time were rescues 3 of them over 12 so we decided to buy a collie rather than rescue as it was important to know background and history as coming into house hold full of older dogs.
The biggest challenge with Danny Boy is...
Ignoring his walks he will whine like mad, he so loos forward to his running around and playing every day.
The most surprising thing about owning a Border Collie is...
the loyalty and love he is totally loyal and after coming out of intensive care and seeing his mum as i am a electric wheelchair user, i often think he wouldnt miss me as much but in hospital hubby brought him i shouted his name he looked around for me and jumped on top of my wheelchair and hugged and kissed me like mad and when home kept coming into bedroom to see i was ok
What I wish I’d known about Border Collies is...
we did our research on collies and had collies for over 27 years so know the breed well. so no suprises and love the breed so much
Did you know?
American psychologist Dr. Stanley Coren classified the Border Collie as the most intelligent breed of dog, ranking first out of 133 breeds.
