Say Hello to Alis
Borzoi, 9 years old
My favourite thing about Alis is...
She just loves people so much! We rehomed her from the Ukraine 8 months ago and she is just so wonderful to have in the family.
The biggest challenge with Alis is...
Alis took quite a long time to settle in with our other two dogs, another Borzoi called Juno and our retired racing Greyhound Lumi. She had travelled a long way to escape war and we had to be very patient with her. It was worth it as she’s so full of life and fun now.
The most surprising thing about owning a Borzoi is...
How goofy and silly they are, they are real characters.
What I wish I’d known about Borzois is...
The amount of floof.
Did you know?
Captain E J Smith of the RMS Titanic, had a Borzoi called Ben who was famously photographed with him on desk before the ill-feted ship set sail. Thankfully for Ben, he didn’t stay for the voyage.
