Let's say Bonjour to Loki 2 nice

Bull Terrier, 2 years old

🏠 Suburbs dog
🍷 Lives with adults only

My favourite thing about Loki 2 nice is...

Loki is an English bull terrier who his very typical for his breed. He’s my third and they are daft clowns with amazing characters, but also very loving. I've had him since he was 7 months old, and got him from his breeder after he was returned to as his previous owner was not coping due to ill health. It must have been a difficult decision as he’s just too nice; hence his name. They have tonnes of energy and love to do zoomies.

The biggest challenge with Loki 2 nice is...

Loki is a strong muscular boy, so if he runs into something he’ll knock it flying. Training and getting him to stop pulling on a lead is hard as they are quite stubborn, but I find routines and praise for good behaviour the most rewarding because after a few months he’s doing brilliantly. His main problem was picking pebbles up and wanting me chase him; they will try to eat or chew anything!

The most surprising thing about owning a Bull Terrier is...

I suffer with my mental health and although bull terriers can be a challenge, I wouldn’t be be without this particular breed as they are like clowns but also very loving. My mum is 86 and he must know when he around her as he’s just so careful and gentle; he’s a proper nannas boy and loves nothing more than a belly tickle and to maybe share her toast.

What I wish I’d known about Bull Terriers is...

I've had 3 bull terriers, and if I’d have known I’d had probably had more years ago as they have totally changed my life for the better. They have huge characters which, when you speak to other bull terrier owners, they will say the same. I love all breeds of dogs but I couldn’t see my life without an english bull terrier!

Did you know?

The Bull Terrier is often thought of as a fighting dog, or a dog originally used for baiting bulls or other animals in a ring or pit. In fact while their ancestors were fighting dogs, the Bull Terrier is a total gentleman and has never been used for these activities – they were bred for success in the show-ring, and as a gentleman’s companion.
