Come and say Hi to Riley
Chow Chow, 3 years old
My favourite thing about Riley is...
He’s very chilled, loyal and friendly. He isn’t hard work ever, never has been since a pup.
The biggest challenge with Riley is...
He’s very stubborn and can pull on his lead when excited on walks.
The most surprising thing about owning a Chow Chow is...
How much they are the complete opposite to what you read online. Chows can be deemed as aggressive, and Riley, nor any other chow I’ve met has an agressive bone in their floofy bodies.
What I wish I’d known about Chow Chows is...
How much they love to sniff on walks. A 10 minute walk takes about an hour because they like to sniff every single leaf, grass and bush! They also get a lot of attention which adds on even more time! I wouldn’t change him for the world though!!
Did you know?
The Chow Chow has been a very important part of Chinese cultural history. One 8th century Emperor is reported to have kept a kennel of 5,000 Chow Chows looked after by 10,000 huntsmen.
