Greetings from Penny
Cocker Spaniel (English), 3 years old
My favourite thing about Penny is...
Her absolute love and devotion and how she makes everyone she meets smile and feel happier. She adores people talking to her and fussing her and will lie peacefully next to ( or on top of!) anyone- she works in a school with challenging children and also as a friendship dog for old people and also loves running after a ball and competing in agility competitions.
The biggest challenge with Penny is...
Resisting giving her treats when she looks at you with her beautiful eyes. Not being reminded of her daughter, playmate and best friend who was hit by a car and died earlier this year.
The most surprising thing about owning a Cocker Spaniel (English) is...
Although she has loads of energy, can run like the wind, is so living with young children and lives to explore, she is still so happy just to sit and snuggle on the sofa and is also no trouble to be left alone.
What I wish I’d known about Cocker Spaniels (English) is...
What living, friendly, family dogs they are - plenty of energy, love being outdoors and trying new things but real lap dogs too and enjoy a good cuddle.
Did you know?
Cocker Spaniel’s paw pads inspired the sole for the first ever boat shoes when Paul Sperry witnessed his dog running on ice without a problem.
