Sam's very loveable and friendly and intelligent; everywhere we go people want to stop us and say hello to Sam, and he loves the attention and meeting new people and their dogs.

Sam's very clingy - he loves to be with me and go everywhere with me; even to the loo!
The most surprising thing about owning a Collie (Rough) is...
How very intelligent Rough Collies are; Sam seems to know every word I say to him and training has been really easy with food as he picks things up really fast! He adores food; I've never met a breed that loves food as much.
What I wish I’d known about Collies (Rough) is...
Stock up well on food because boy this breed can eat! Makes training easy though, as they are very food orientated.

Almost everyone will recognise the Rough Collie as ‘Lassie’ the famous film character, as played by Pal, owned and trained by Rudd Weatherwax (and in fact all the Lassies in the film franchise were male dogs, descended from Pal), however Pal was not the first film-star Rough Collie.
