Tea towels, socks and other dogs' balls - he has toys of his own but won't play with any we buy him but will if its another dogs!

How loyal he is. When I'm out he always keeps his eyes on me to make sure I'm OK.
What I wish I’d known about English Springer Spaniels is...
I've had different breeds over my life time; I'm 68 now and am so sorry I've never had a springer up to now. He's my best friend we go walking together everyday in all weathers. Love this boy.

Springer and Cocker Spaniels used to be the same breed, occurring in the same litters, with the larger puppies being the Springers and the smaller being the Cockers. They were split into separately recognised breeds in 1892 by the Kennel Club of Great Britain.
