Meet Roshe (and Lunar!)
American Cocker Spaniel & English Springer Spaniel, 6 years old
My favourite thing about Roshe (and Lunar!) is...
Roshe is the most gentle boy, with the cutest white spotty paws against his majority black coat. He’s a pretty good boy, and doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He’s quite content in his own company, but he’s growing to enjoy having a furry sister around now! Lunar is a wild child haha, she’s full of beans and just hilarious. She’s quite a petite gal, and has the best head of hair ever! She’s quite possibly the snuggliest dog in the world! I love that Roshe almost knows just how I’m feeling in a particular moment, and knows exactly how to make me feel better if that’s needed! Lunar is cuddle obsessed and loves nothing more than being as close as physically possible to you, it’s adorable!
The biggest challenge with Roshe (and Lunar!) is...
The biggest challenge with Roshe has been when he has been pretty unwell over the last year. It’s not something you go into dog ownership expecting (although always possible), so it’s hard to deal with. The biggest challenge with Lunar has been reigning in her crazy energy and drive, she’s a bundle of fun but takes a lot of concentration to keep her from getting herself into mischief!
The most surprising thing about owning a American Cocker Spaniel & English Springer Spaniel is...
They are both crazy and raring to go at any moment, but they also have the best off switch when they feel fulfilled too!
What I wish I’d known about American Cocker Spaniels & English Springer Spaniels is...
I feel like I was pretty prepared for spaniels. But I would advise people don’t get too caught up in the cute fluffy ears and pay attention to the fact they’re quite high energy and high drive dogs, and definitely need an outlet for that!
