The need to sniff at every possible opportunity on a walk. The amount of mud he can bring home from a walk is unbelievable! The love of complete strangers for the breed.
What I wish I’d known about Golden Retrievers is...
Be absolutely consistent when training and don’t let them greet everyone when they are puppies. Biggest mistake that is still an issue at times. Oh and did I mention the stubbornness?

Golden Retrievers are said to have extremely soft mouths, so soft in fact that they can carry a raw egg in their mouth without cracking the shell.
