Become Acquainted with Toby
Greyhound, 10 years old
He came from Fen Bank Greyhound Sanctuary .
My favourite thing about Toby is...
So lazy and laid-back, as were his two predecessors
The biggest challenge with Toby is...
Recall - due to him being a retired racer he was trained to GO not come back.
The most surprising thing about owning a Greyhound is...
How lazy and loving they are and very willing to live in your life. Also, how soft their coats are (like velvet around the ears).
What I wish I’d known about Greyhounds is...
Nothing. I had had rescues of many different large rescue dogs (pedigree and non-) for about 40 years previously so I had a pretty good idea what I was taking on.
Did you know
The Greyhound is the fastest dog on earth reaching speeds of over 40mph on short sprints.
