Greetings from Harvey
Jack Russell Terrier & Lhasa Apso, 11 years old
My favourite thing about Harvey is...
He is so determined. Considering his life's hurdles he has so much love to give and has the most wonderfully funny character, he loves life so much and my days I am sure he is human! He knows what he wants and and will get it most of the time. He is so resilient; a force to be reckoned with in a good way. Every day is a blessing, and he amazes me how he gets on so well, my little warrior 💙
The biggest challenge with Harvey is...
Up to 8 months Harvey was left alone, and when his owner died, he was with the body for 36hrs. I became his guardian then. He had 22+ fits in 3 hrs and was nearly put to sleep at 2, he still has fits but is medicated and much better. He's been attacked by other dogs and now he has rear luxating knees and front paw arthritis but is still resilient!
The most surprising thing about owning a Jack Russell Terrier & Lhasa Apso is...
His determination to get what he wants, funny loving nature, how he'd rather chase his friends than the ball. How he can play for hours, search food out of my pockets, and how clever he is with his challenge toys, he loves nothing more then opening presents as well. Harvey is so loyal to both myself and his daddy, he is my world.
What I wish I’d known about Jack Russell Terriers & Lhasa Apsos is...
Jacks have so much energy and need plenty of walking and play time, for sure a handful but in the best way, I would not change a thing.
