Get to know Marco
Japanese Shiba Inu, 6 years old
He came from Japanese Shiba Inu Rescue UK .
My favourite thing about Marco is...
Always greets me when I come back to the house with a toy.
The biggest challenge with Marco is...
As a rescued dog from Hungary he still has some anxiety issues - he flinches if he hears someone yawn or cough or sneeze, we are working through this but have no idea what he thinks is going to happen when he hears yawns etc. He has never shown any aggression
The most surprising thing about owning a Japanese Shiba Inu is...
They are independent, have a high hunting drive and very few have good recall
What I wish I’d known about Japanese Shiba Inus is...
I researched the breed carefully and I have adapted and worked around the breed traits. I would not recommend Shiba Inu to anyone who wouldn't take on board they generally need to always be on a lead, must have fully enclosed garden etc
