Say Hello to Peach
Japanese Shiba Inu, 10 Months old
My favourite thing about Peach is...
Peach is so lovely! She is very loyal to me and my husband. She is so sweet that she would greet us with kisses in the morning or when she see us back from work, she normally would come to pick me up from the station with my husband. That just makes all my stress go away. She is also very good socializing with other dogs and has made a lot of doggy friends.
The biggest challenge with Peach is...
She is very shy in front of humans; she doesn't like to be patted by strangers as she doesn't trust them.
The most surprising thing about owning a Japanese Shiba Inu is...
They are so intelligent! Peach basically knew where to pee the second day she arrived and she was only 8 weeks old. And she knows to use a mirror to observe us secretly.
What I wish I’d known about Japanese Shiba Inus is...
They are very stubborn. They can be extremely shy.
Did you know?
The word “inu” means dog in Japanese and Shiba means “brushwood”, but it’s not clear whether the breed was named for the terrain where they hunted or the colour of the autumn brushwood.
