My favourite thing about Finn is...
He is a handsome athletic fox red who loves being out with us walking in the country or on the beach. He loves water and enjoys the company of other dogs. Gun dog training has started, he is responding well so far, we are optimistic that he will be a great companion in the field.
The biggest challenge with Finn is...
He has a strong desire to hunt, sometimes to the point of ignoring the recall whistle when he is on the scent of something, particularly squirrels that attract his attention when walking around the forest.
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
We have owned many Labradors, they have all been wonderful family dogs, loyal, attentive, keen to please and great with kids. It never stops surprising me that they will eat until they drop if the opportunity was there !
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
Always buy from known breeder, check out parents if possible.
