Say Hi to Fynn
Labrador Retriever, 6 years old
My favourite thing about Fynn is...
He is our ultimate companion. He moved with us to NZ a few years back and was the most amazing help finding us friends. Every dog loved him and we got to know people through his good looks, charm and friendliness. One dog-free town even called him a ‘big cat’ so that we did not need to leave him behind. He “melts” for a good tummy rub. He loves balls, snow, leaves, swims, boating, & snoring.
The biggest challenge with Fynn is...
Socks; he loves our socks, will do anything to sneak around, grab any laying around and teasing us with them. He has been known to scoff them whole (not something we encourage and hate to find once out the other end!!!)
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever is...
His loyalty. He simply loves being with us, riding in our van and all our adventures. Every welcome is like we’ve been away forever.
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers is...
That they gobble anything. His soft toys last for minutes only until he tears their guts out and sends them flying across the carpet. Also hairs, oooh he sheds everywhere. As a puppy we took him to a car show room. He sat beautifully on their pristine shiny floor but as we left he left behind a labby shaped backside in the tiles which was hair free around all that had dropped off his little body.
