Get to know Balloo
Labrador Retriever & Pointer, 8 years old
He came from RSPCA Wakefield .
My favourite thing about Balloo is...
Incredibly friendly, he absolutely adores children, especially when they are laughing and having fun. He loves going out for walks with our local walking group who all love making a fuss of him. He is so curious and wants to look in everyone's garden ( probably in case someone has left food out)
The biggest challenge with Balloo is...
After last answer you probably guessed, it's making sure he doesn't become overweight. Like most labs / crosses he could eat for England. We did have issues at first, because he had been abused. Things like been afraid of towels, we think they had been flicked across his face and not knowing how to climb stairs. But TLC and and help from RSPCA gradually brought him around.
The most surprising thing about owning a Labrador Retriever & Pointer is...
LOVE!! HE JUST wants to meet everyone and every dog he can. If we have friends and family around he is constantly going from one to another (random) in the hopes of a cudle
What I wish I’d known about Labrador Retrievers & Pointers is...
These are the best family dogs you can get. But be aware the become very dependent. They also shed hair throughout the year. Not recommended for people with allergy to dog hair
