Greetings from Denzil
Old English Sheepdog, 4 years old
My favourite thing about Denzil is...
His start in life was fraught with serious illness but he pulled through and has turned out to be a really loving boy that is always pleased to see you if you have been out. He is full on, loves to play ball and to run. He is our personal alarm as he always wakes you up between 5 & 6 in the morning by jumping on the bed and licking you in the face.
The biggest challenge with Denzil is...
He hates a particular red Labrador that walks past the house but apart from that he is very well behaved and loves just to be with you.
The most surprising thing about owning a Old English Sheepdog is...
That they never disappoint you and show you love and affection.
What I wish I’d known about Old English Sheepdogs is...
As we had our first in 1979 I wish I had known back then more information about health and welfare within the breed.
Did you know?
At one time the Old English Sheepdog was a status symbol within the American Industrial period and the five richest families in the world (the Vanderbilts, the Guggenheims, the Morgans, the Goulds and the Harrisons) all owned Old English Sheepdogs as did many of the film stars of the day.
