Greetings from Max (mad)!!!
Patterdale Terrier, 2 years old
My favourite thing about Max (mad)!!! is...
Greeting me in the morning, a little ball of energy.
The biggest challenge with Max (mad)!!! is...
I think it was his energy and his zoom zoom zoom around the bungalow. Max needed lots of attention as three of us here we all took turns to entertain him. Xmas 2022 he broke his hind leg, two breaks, needed operation and plate and screws fitted. Long rehab - 3 mths, physio and hydrotherapy. Now on the mend snd back to bounding around the friends. We do so love him, brought us so much joy.
The most surprising thing about owning a Patterdale Terrier is...
He loves to hunt in the garden, nose into everything. His mum who lives on the farm where we got Max is s great ratter, they use her to try keep the rats down.
What I wish I’d known about Patterdale Terriers is...
You really need to be fit and healthy if you plan on buying a Patterdale!!! Also I forgot about how much hard work puppies are. My last terrier passed away and was very bereft and the bungalow felt lonely, we had also lost our 20 year old cat Bilbo. I was in my 50s when we had our last dog, late 60s now and a different ballgame.
