Come and meet Otis
Poodle (Standard), 1 Year old
My favourite thing about Otis is...
He has the very typical poodle 'sass' which can be a blessing and a curse!! Most of the time it can be one his most lovable traits, you often know where you stand with Otis and the sass makes for some funny times. He is a very loving dog, loves to be little small (although he's not too little!) And is very loyal. We couldn't be without him now.
The biggest challenge with Otis is...
Otis has only just reached 1 and that has brought the teenager stage. He can be very 'mouthy' which is usually targeted at our hands and feet (especially if you're running in fromthe garden!)
The most surprising thing about owning a Poodle (Standard) is...
I was pretty prepared to have Otis as I'd had poodles growing up. I think the most surprising is the love he can show, he has independent and sassy streaks constantly so it can be surprising when he climbs on the sofa for a cuddle or sneaks into bed in the middle of the night
What I wish I’d known about Poodles (Standard) is...
How independent a poodle can be - Otis will often try to push boundaries with his independence which can make you feel like training has gone out of the window. This could be part of the teenager stage but it has enhanced his stubborness
