Meet Tristan
Schnauzer (Miniature), 5 years old
My favourite thing about Tristan is...
A loving, affectionate little dog who gets on well with my other dog, cats and sheep. He loves his walks in the countryside and visits to dog adventure parks but is equally happy to go into a town and explore new sniffs and meet other people and dogs. Although some Miniature Schnauzers can be rather strong-minded, Tristan is really obedient and is a great companion.
The biggest challenge with Tristan is...
The need to visit a professional groomer every couple of months is an additional cost. He also needs regular brushing at home and as he loves exploring in the countryside, getting burrs and knots out of his coat is a challenge..
The most surprising thing about owning a Schnauzer (Miniature) is...
How sociable they are and how they always seem to recognise other Miniature Schnauzers
What I wish I’d known about Schnauzers (Miniature) is...
The can be a bit yappy when they get excited and the sound of their high-pitched bark does carry.. I think that I generally knew what to expect having done a lot of research before deciding on which breed to get and I have no regrets at all.
