Say Hi to Otto
Shih Tzu, 10 years old
He came from Broken Biscuits Charity .
My favourite thing about Otto is...
Otto uses his paw to let you know he wants cuddling. He also rolls round in circles on his wheelchair when he wants to be lifted up somewhere like the sofa or up a steep hill he can’t climb and needs help with.
The biggest challenge with Otto is...
Otto has just two legs. He had his hind legs removed to save his life after being hit by a car when he was a puppy. His biggest challenge was adapting to a new way to walk using his bike (doggy wheelchair).
The most surprising thing about owning a Shih Tzu is...
They love hard, adore attention and make amazing companions.
What I wish I’d known about Shih Tzus is...
How much they change your life. This unconditional, unwavering love gives you a stability and calm you may not have realised you needed. Dogs are incredible.
Did you know?
Despite originating in China in the 17th century (or perhaps even earlier) the Shih Tzu dog breed was hidden from the West, and was largely unknown until the 20th century.
