Greetings from Zip
Shih Tzu, 3 years old
My favourite thing about Zip is...
She is super silly, and loves to nap anywhere and everywhere. She is very active and loves swimming and laying down in our local stream in the summer. She has been best buds with a red Labrador called Ernie since they were both puppies, and roughly the same size, so now she is convinced that she is also a Labrador and can take on anything as a big dog!
The biggest challenge with Zip is...
She loves to dig up the vegetable patch, who needs carrots anyway! (Well, apart from Zip!)
The most surprising thing about owning a Shih Tzu is...
They are the most loving dogs ever, and never want to be apart from their human. For small dogs, they love a good roam in the countryside, and aren't afraid to get their paws muddy.
What I wish I’d known about Shih Tzus is...
They hate to be left alone, and have a knack for getting as muddy as possible which means a LOT of bubble baths!
Did you know?
They’re also known as “chrysanthemum-faced dogs” because of the way the hair on their face grows in every direction.
