Meet Kobi
Siberian Husky, 6 Months old
My favourite thing about Kobi is...
He's so playful and he gets excited about everything. He loves to meet new people and other dogs! He's very loyal and follows me around everywhere.
The biggest challenge with Kobi is...
He can get too excited, and all of his training goes out of the window when he meets a dog or person he wants to play with. No recall, not even interested in treats, and he's very treat driven! He can only go off leash in certain areas/circumstances because of this. He also has terrible separation anxiety and can't be left for 2 minutes.
The most surprising thing about owning a Siberian Husky is...
How clean he stays even after swimming in a dirty river, for example!
What I wish I’d known about Siberian Huskys is...
You can rarely let them off leash.
Did you know?
The Siberian Husky was developed as a sled dog to carry light loads at high speeds over extremely long distances. During World War Two however they turned their paw to being search and rescue dogs working with the US military in the Arctic Circle.
