Get introduced to Titan
Siberian Husky & German Shepherd Dog, 9 Months old
My favourite thing about Titan is...
He has a range of gaits, which are interesting to watch: a walk, lope and gallop. He can balance easily on his hind legs and jump and spin without any training or prompting. He jumps so high - it is remarkable.
The biggest challenge with Titan is...
He needs at least two 30-45 min walks a day and preferably one full hour walk. He needs plenty of time to sniff to satisfy his prey drive and can pounce unexpectedly at any time. He has to be reigned in when he catches a scent or he will bolt while on the leash and is very powerful at 9 months.
The most surprising thing about owning a Siberian Husky & German Shepherd Dog is...
Titan is actually a Tamaskan - a cross between a Siberian Husky and Czech Vicak (Carpathian Wolf and German Shepherd); he is a rare breed. He has many features of the Czech Vicak and his coat is stunningly beautiful as he matures.
What I wish I’d known about Siberian Huskys & German Shepherd Dogs is...
He really dislikes travelling in a car because he is so car sick, though it is improving gradually. The breeder said it is typical of the breed and that he will outgrow it.
