Say Hello to Lily
Spanish Water Dog, 8 Months old
My favourite thing about Lily is...
I love everything about her. She gives me so much joy and confidence. She is very cheeky and loves to watch animal documentaries with me.She is really helping me through the difficult sad process of losing my other Spanish water dog Zuky. I couldn’t imagine life without Lily she is more than just a dog to me she is my world. Lily is my best friend with 4 paws. We have fun together come rain or shine.
The biggest challenge with Lily is...
No challenges so far!
The most surprising thing about owning a Spanish Water Dog is...
Spanish water dogs are supposed to love water but Lily doesn’t like to get wet 😂
What I wish I’d known about Spanish Water Dogs is...
The breed can be hard work and and require a lot of coat care (having owned Zuky for 15 years I knew the breed pretty well)
Did you know?
Although the Spanish Water Dog has existed as a type of working dog in rural Spain for some time, as breed they have only been internationally recognised very recently. Efforts to establish them as a pedigree breed began in the 1970s, and the Spanish Kennel Club accepted them in the mid-1980s.
