Say Hello to Buster
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 12 years old
My favourite thing about Buster is...
He's always so excited to see you. Coming home to see him happy to see me makes everything that happened that day much better. He has little quirks like stealing my slippers so I can chase him but he never ever rips them apart. He loves being hugged.
The biggest challenge with Buster is...
His recall isn't the best. If he was get off the lead he would not listen.
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
They aren't aggressive like they are stereotypically known to be. From my experience the little dogs have always been our problem.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
They can be stubborn. They need a lot of training as a puppy. They have a lot of energy.
Did you know?
Developed originally by James Hinks of Birmingham, this breed was appearing at dog shows as early as 1862. But it wasn’t until the 1930s when it was recognised as being a separate breed from the Bull Terrier, and had a name change to distinguish the two, adding the county name where it had become so popular.
