Trying to get him to sleep in the dog bed instead of the human bed, "trying" being the operative word!
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
Kush is our second staffy and is even more emotionally aware than our previous dog. As a breed they are hugely in tune with human mood and understand instinctively how to help people close to them. Treating them with love, respect and firm boundaries creates an environment for them to thrive mentally.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
I knew they would demand a lot of love, time and attention and that is absolutely true. I work for myself from home so Kush is with me pretty much 24/7 and he walks in the Welsh mountains weekly. At home he is fairly chilled as his outdoor exercise is very energetic. I advise against getting a staffy if you are away from home often and don't have many many hours to put into their development.
