Say Hello to Roxy
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 11 years old
She came from Wallace Kennels .
My favourite thing about Roxy is...
She loves every human she meets and wants a fuss and cuddle from everyone if you are young old or inbetween. She's actually a hermaphrodite but behaves mostly like a girl. She loves going on holiday and having adventures with us. She loves eating trees so we think she must have been a beaver in a previous life. She loves to sleep and takes up most of the bed and she always has to be in near us
The biggest challenge with Roxy is...
She was 7 when we adopted her and whilst she knows all her commands and super friendly she is a bit wary of dogs she doesn't know so we have to introduce new dogs slowly but once she's comfortable you would never know they were not always friends
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
They are the softest, soppiest cuddle monsters on the planet and love to be with you at all times. They are very intelligent and like to meet new people. They love their food and treats. You will fall head over heels for them and they have funny characters that make you laugh and very expressive faces.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
They can be a bit stubborn and can go deaf when they want to ignore you especially if there is a chance for a cuddle or fuss from strangers. They sometimes need time to get along with other dogs but love people and actively seek attention from everyone. They will embarrass you by rolling in their back for a tummy rub in public
