Say Hi to Sasha
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 14 years old
My favourite thing about Sasha is...
Sasha makes a funny snorting sound so I've nicknamed her piggy wig & she will answer to it ha ha. She is a people person she wants to stop & say hello to everyone on a walk including dogs. Sasha is a very friendly old girl and brilliant with children. I have had Sasha for 6 years & she's an absolute star, so friendly and always wagging her tail.
The biggest challenge with Sasha is...
Keeping her (IBD) under control.
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
They are very affectionate & like to follow you all over the house. They can talk vocally. I have always had Staffordshire bullterriers; brilliant breed.
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
A dog is for life even when they get old. They are expensive vet bills etc so please take that into consideration & if you get a rescue know its background.
Did you know?
Developed originally by James Hinks of Birmingham, this breed was appearing at dog shows as early as 1862. But it wasn’t until the 1930s when it was recognised as being a separate breed from the Bull Terrier, and had a name change to distinguish the two, adding the county name where it had become so popular.
