Say Hi to Teddy
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 2 years old
My favourite thing about Teddy is...
He’s an Incredibly loving dog
The biggest challenge with Teddy is...
He’s still a puppet really (18 months) so his manners aren’t great with people (often jumps up and won’t leave them alone as he craves attention). Also he is a scrounger
The most surprising thing about owning a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is...
I’ve owned staffies before so there are no breed specific surprises for me
What I wish I’d known about Staffordshire Bull Terriers is...
Not breed specific but establishing boundaries and positive training are important
Did you know
Developed originally by James Hinks of Birmingham, this breed was appearing at dog shows as early as 1862. But it wasn’t until the 1930s when it was recognised as being a separate breed from the Bull Terrier and had a name change to distinguish the two, adding the county name where it had become so popular.
