My favourite thing about Abbie is...
If you leave the house for 30 seconds, she greats you as if you've been gone for weeks!
The biggest challenge with Abbie is...
Trying to stop her from chewing the wooden door/architrave! Also eating other dogs poop. Yuk!
The most surprising thing about owning a Weimaraner is...
Very intelligent breed, need stimulation as they'll get bored easily (don't we all?!) They're very alert & fast runners, Abbie will chase anything from a ball to a leaf blowing in the wind!
What I wish I’d known about Weimaraners is...
We already had 2 Weims previously so do understand a little about the breed. They're very much a 'velcro dog', extremely loyal and like to be around people.

Often known as the Silver Ghost, the Weimaraner has, in his past, been used for a variety of hunting tasks and became an all-around gundog, although he was originally bred as a pointer. It is said that when hunting, this dog’s instinctive hunting method is to attack the prey’s genitals to bring it down. Interestingly the same instinct is seen in hyenas.
