Say Hello to Scout
He came from East Midlands Dog Rescue .
My favourite thing about Scout is...
What I love the most about Scout is his spirit. Born blind, Scout has never let his disability hold him back and he will throw himself heart and soul into anything. From puppy training to the Kennel Club Good Citizens award, meeting and greeting people at fundraising events and visiting a local dementia care home as a much loved therapy dog, Scout is the ultimate social butterfly.
The biggest challenge with Scout is...
Our biggest challenge with Scout has been his lack of sight but we have learnt that the biggest challenges in life can bring the biggest rewards. Working with Scout we have overcome so many challenges. Teaching Scout training cues and instilling in him the confidence to experience everything a fully sighted dog can do. Scout has climbed mountains, paddled in the sea and has even tried agility
The most surprising thing about owning a Whippet & Greyhound is...
The most surprising thing is how lazy they can be. Scout loves his walks but similarly loves his home comforts and his bed.
What I wish I’d known about Whippets & Greyhounds is...
Their ability to steal your heart in an instant.
