Meet Cookie
Yorkshire Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier, 2 years old
My favourite thing about Cookie is...
She is extremely loving and loves nothing more than having cuddles & belly rubs. Every day she makes me laugh with her quirky ways, such as hiding her treats behind the cushions on my settee and bed, so I’m constantly finding random treats all around the house,. I also love the way she grins at me when she’s excited about me coming home or going for walks. She’s my world & I love her so much.
The biggest challenge with Cookie is...
She can be very stubborn and has selected hearing at times, especially if she’s found or heard something more interesting outside in the garden, which can be challenging especially in the evenings. Also as a small dog breed her barking can be annoying at times.
The most surprising thing about owning a Yorkshire Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier is...
How intelligent she is, she picks things up so quickly when we got her as a puppy for example toilet training took no time at all, she was fully house trained within a couple of weeks and also she hasn’t chewed anything around the house only her own toys, which we don’t mind at all.
What I wish I’d known about Yorkshire Terriers & Jack Russell Terriers is...
If you are thinking of getting a Jorki ( Jack Russell crossed Yorkshire terrier) then you need to give them training instructions straight away i.e toilet training as they are a stubborn but intelligent breed and if they don’t know right from wrong from the start they will do things their way and won’t listen to you for future commands.
