Cats are comical creatures aren’t they? Daisy is the queen of fussy eaters. That is to say that she’s fussy about cat biccies. She’s notably less fussy about titbits, scraps and occasionally my own unguarded dinner. That all seems to go down a treat. Yet try out some 'new' cat biscuits during the UK lockdown? probably not a chance.
We decided to do all our shopping much nearer to home than usual - within walking distance in fact - and certainly found some gems on the shelves of the local shop. My adventurous purchase of a new flavour of coffee didn't go down well in our household, in fact it tasted like sludge. However I totally redeemed myself with the first-time purchase of Go-Cat Salmon, Tuna & Vegetables.
We have two feline youngsters (Barney and his fusspot sister Daisy). Both were hugely excited by the sight and sound of the big yellow rattly bag and the smell of these new biccies. They were relished down so quickly that I knew I was onto a major winner here! For me, it felt like the moment Charlie Bucket unwraps his Wonka Bar and discovers a golden ticket to the famous chocolate factory. Weeks later, as the UK eases out of lockdown, the kitties have now almost polished off the 800g - so it's time now for me to create some more shopping magic for them in the form of another big rattly yellow bag!
