Reviews
First let me discuss the packaging of the 3kg bag - the integrated carry handle is not something I have seen on other brands and it makes it so much easier to carry the product and it is also useful when pouring out the kibbles to be weighed. The easy tear off corner and freshness seal is another great design. The fact that the packaging is designed to be recyclable is another plus, however this needs to be recycled with bags at a large supermarket and cannot be recycled at home which is a shame and I hope this doesn’t deter people from recycling.
Now onto the dry food itself. We have a lovely chonky cat called Ginger who has been on a diet for over eighteen months. Despite using a vet recommended product and an increase in exercise Ginger has barely lost any weight over that period and has remained at the same weight for six months now (a cuddly 7.7kg!) which has been very disappointing and frustrating. I was keen to try a new product to see if it makes a difference and chose the Pro Plan Light. It is early days so I will have to update after our next appointment with the vet to confirm if there was any weight loss.
But Ginger is most definitely enjoying his new kibbles. We didn’t even need to slowly introduce it. He was trying to chew the packaging as soon as it came through the door! After weighing the kibbles and pouring them into his dish he was making the cutest content noises of approval and purring whilst enjoying his meal. One thing I have noticed since changing to the Pro Plan Light is that Ginger seems to stay fuller for longer. We have had considerably less begging and crying for more food which was breaking our hearts on his old diet. I would definitely recommend this product and our lovely Ginger has certainly given his approval too.
