The adult maintenance averages are based on moderately active cats at normal environmental temperatures. I have been trying my two cats on this recently and they love it! No more faddy eating, they both wolf this down and then look for seconds (or steal from each others bowls!). I've tried them on so many different types of biscuit, which they seem to be able to take or leave, but purina seems to have got their attention.
I received a sample of this and the first thing my cat did was try to get in the open bag to investigate! She wolfed down the first few meals, but this is normal for her - she loves novelty, but unfortunately it tends to wear off. Two weeks on though and she is still interested in this food - not as madly as in the first couple of days, but certainly more than other foods we've tried her with.
The other thing we've noticed is she appears to have boundless energy, which may just be because Spring is around the corner but we've never seen her as bonkers as she is at the moment - she is doing the 'cat train' thing all over the house and is constantly running and playing. It could be that she is getting better nutrition from this food.
We're certainly going to buy the other flavour and see what she thinks.
My cats have recently been enjoying this range and are 2 very happy cats they love this flavour and have noticed a different in their coats they have gone from dull to shiny in a few weeks and definitely more energy!
I recently tried this cat food with my four year old cat. He loves mealtimes but when I change foods, he is often wary and takes a long time to start to enjoy a new taste. This food was different- from the first time he smelt it in his bowl, he at every it straight away, nice and slowly but ate it all up. He seemed to find it easy to eat, he seemed to like the smell and really enjoyed it. From then on, he seemed to get excited at meal times and looked forward to his food, which he has eaten all up every time he has been given this food. Whilst using this food, my cat has been healthy, happy, fit and bright eyed. This is definately a food I will continue to buy for my cat because he enjoys it and because of the health benefits in it for him.
