I would not think my dogs would like it as it was salmon gave it to them a bit by bit and they loved it iv noticed there coat is shiny and soft my oldest dog has skin issues he's not scratching as much it has really helped the other 2 dogs there coats have become more shiny and there teeth have improved to
Well as mum to a fussy chihuahua called Bo, I have to admit to being surprised at Bo's response to Purina-sensitive skin salmon. Normally Bo is not a lover of this type of food. But it proved to be an exception. He's normally quite indifferent to his food, but now he looks forward to his meals and now he's jumping at my leg, in anticipation. He can't wait to eat it. I've also noticed he sometimes carries a few kibbles outside. His secret stash. For me, I like the idea that the food is especially targeted at small breeds. Being a toy breed any food must be precisely balanced to include all the necessary nutrients that the breed needs. There has been a slight improvement in his coat and skin. He's not scratching as much and his fur is growing back, albeit slightly. But I have no doubt his coat and skin will continue to improve. I can definitely recommend Purina, as my Bo is no longer aa Picky Eater and I am one happy pet mum. Thank you Purina.
My dog is extremely fussy. He's not a fan of kibble and biscuit textures in general, turns his nose up at wet food too and will only eat well research balanced raw (I feel that background is important).
Imagine my surprise when he was readily taking purina pro plan as treats and in enrichment activities as we started to swap over.
He's reached the 75% swap phase and is still happily munching away.
It's too early to begin thinking about looking at benefits to his coat but he's enjoying this food. If this continues I think I'll definitely be keeping a bag stocked up for him.
Leo our 14 year old maltese/bichon has become very fussy in his later years, but oh boy thats changed.
Leo has sore joints, itchy skin and refuses foods he doesnt like,stubborn old kinda guy, but never refused a meal yet.
Leo has been less itchy and a bit more energetic, not doing marathons or high jumps but a marked improvement since starting this and we will continue to add it to our shopping list. There have been no issues with stomach upsets , the runs since changing over and thats a plus for me, the picker upper.
Going to try the age defence one too now that the itch has gone and see if that helps more with his joints, we have 2 other dogs and we did give them one or two pieces and they loved it too so it might be a whole switch over for us .
Smells good too definitely gourmet dining for dogs.
