If only dogs could talk!
She couldn’t wait to get into this. Normally my pooch would have a mix of dry and wet or have to have something added to encourage her to eat her to eat her food. Not with ProPlan OptiAge, she couldn’t get it down quick enough.
The large size bag option is great when you have a large dog so this is definitely a winner for me.
The kibble is a nice size and didn’t look/feel too dry or too moist.
It certainly seems to be being enjoyed and a very clean bowl is being left behind.
I think this will is a definite swap for us.
Our Gizmo seemed very impressed with his Optiage food. It was gobbled down quick without any hesitation wondering what mummy and daddy are making him try now. He seemed full of beans after his first couple of bowls and would have easily put the young ones to shame running around the house clearly content after his yummy new food. The pellets seems a great texture to keep his teeth in check too. Sometimes his tummy can gurgle a little whilst adjusting to a new feed but this wa snot witnessed this time which is great news. The feed was not too soft and not too hardon bis teeth and even though it's still early days his coat seems a better condition too as it can get a little dull from being warm inside the house now that the heating is on. Gizmo's mumy and daddy are happy with the condition of his coat, teeth and of course his tummy is satisfied. We will definitely consider changing the optiage food to his new permanent food. He will be glad to hear it!
Just the smell coming from the bag when I opened it got my dogs attention, he was sniffing it loads and getting very excited so I quickly gave him a little bit to try and he loved it , he ate it all and wanted more lol. He's also just had it for his tea and ate it all again , he didn't want more as he was satisfied with the portion. I could see he was really enjoying it which for my dog is not a usual thing at the moment so trying this product came at the perfect time and I'm just so happy he's enjoying meal times again. The bag the food comes in is very good quality, i have the large bag and i can tell its going to keep its shape and not rip half way through it . Has helpfull feeding guide at the back. I highly recommend ,I guarantee you will buy it again.
So my wee old pup can be fussy with his food in his old age, at 11 cant blame him a would be too. All he wanted to do is eat, sleep, lick parts off his body n occassional tug off war were he cheats to win. I have tried a few foods for older dogs and he eats them but dont think he enjoys them tbh. But after trying this one i had clear bowls every time, there was a spring back in his step and bouncing about like the pup he used to be, good to see him like this again. Deffo more wags off the tail. He still played tug of war and still cheats but he plays alot longer without cheating and he keeps licking (grooming) himself. Happy pup all round
