I recieved Purina ProPlan as part of a trial and will admit I was dubious.
Well.. I am a convert. My dog is 11, slowing down (read here lazy) and very food obsessed.
Initially, though she loved the food we struggled as she was looking for more volume (I had been replacing some of her previous food with low cal veggies as she was constantly hunting for more food) but a week in and she stopped banging her bowl, searching for dried up crusts that the kids knocked under the fridge.... (yummy)
Aside from the food clearly filling her better, I started to notice a little more energy. She's become bouncy again (literally - I stand there wondering sometimes if her bad hips are grumbling at her when she stands on her back legs noe) and you can see in her eyes that she has a newer lease of life - she's far more alert and interested in the world around her
... One (jokey) grumble is that it made me look like a fibber yesterday.. 2 days ago she had a major op and her underside opened top to bottom. The vet told me she was to do no exercise for a while and I laughed. The vet said "yes I know, how do you tell a dog not to be active", so I laughed harder. And then pointed out that she is pretty lazy. Anyway, next day I go on the school run and forget to lock their cage door. The first I realise of this is when she guiltily trundles back down the stairs after nosing around the children's bedrooms.. While I cringed thinking of the wound and stitches, I wondered if the activity level benefits of Purina ProPlan had anything to do with it... (hehe)
Our dog Louis has been enjoying Purina Pro Plan for the last two months. As you can see from the photo, Louis is always keen for his Purina. He has tons more energy and is less stiffer on a morning.
Today I would like to share my opinion about Purina Pro Plan Dog Small and Mini adult 9+ with Optiage Rich in Chicken. My Yorkie - really loves this dry food!
For me, like owner, it is very important that my dog getting all greats benefits from healthy food! This food is specially designed for mature adult dogs with highly digestible ingredients. It is very important that protein and fat levels are adapted to mature adult dogs needs. Also minerals, glucosamine, Omega 3 fatty acid is very important not just for humans but and for our lovely dog's!
I love that this dry food contains Optiage which is proven to enhance brain function. Also it helps increase activity levels and interest in playtime. My Joris feeling like young puppy! Amazing!
