I have been using this for just over a week as I was asked to review it. My rescue girl is onto her 4th home and certainly has her quirks. If I'm honest I didn't hold up much hope I have purchased a large number of dog foods for her since she arrived nearly 3 years ago. She has either point blank refused to eat preferring to go hungry, pushed all of it on the floor or just they reacted with her making her itch madly as she is very sensitive.
I have only given 4 stars as my dog won't eat it without wet food mixed in which is her usual stance but she often leaves the biscuits picking out the meat where as this food has resulted in empty bowls and a clean floor.
I was asked about her alertness when starting it and to be Frank I forgot about this until one night I was feeding her and she was extra excited and over the next few days she has been full of energy - usually I have to encourage her around her walks however she has been jumping up when she sees the lead and runs madly as she leaves the house. She is walking further and seems to be enjoying her walks rather than being an effort.
Tonight was the turning point that made me think there could actually be something in this foods benefits as she entertained herself playing with her favourite toy on her own as I was occupied. This may not seem like much but she came to me not knowing how to play and now plays but only if I really emphasise it and try and make it exciting and its usually short lived. Tonight she was rolling around on her furry rug with her toy throwing in air and generally having fun. To me this is amazing and it all seems to tie in with the time frame of starting her pro plan food. If this is the case it will be something we continue. Also she appears to be eating less quantity than previously which I take is due to the quality. Just wish I'd taken a video of her playing to share with you
I have been feeding my dog this product for a little over a month now and I am already seeing an improvement in his alertness and mental sharpness. As a ‘senior’ dog I want to keep him healthy and happy for as long as possible so I switched to this food as soon as I heard about it. He loves it, he can be quite picky but he really enjoys this and the special blend of vitamins and nutrients mean I know he is having a high quality diet. He seems to be brighter and more alert, his coat is glossy and his eyes are brighter. I am so glad I discovered this dog food, I will definitely continue using it.
I have been using this for over a week now and I have seen a few positives that have come from it. My dog has shown more interest in playing than she has done in a while, she has wanted to join in more with the children in the family and also has enjoyed the food, eating it all as soon as it is down. Being older she has started to slow down so having a feed that is beneficial to her is great.
