How to give my dog PRO PLAN® Relax + supplement?
Serve once a day, along with one of your dog's meal. Place the PRO PLAN® Relax + oil on top of your dog's food. For best results, use continuously as part of their daily feeding routine and follow the feeding guidelines based on your dog's bodyweight.
Clean, fresh drinking water should always be available.
For your dog’s health, respect the feeding guide and exercise daily.
Supervise your dog when giving them the oil.
Not recommended for pregnant or lactating bitches.
Should not be given to dogs under 2 kg. Should not be given with other sources rich in fish.
Keep out of reach of children.

I had zero hopes when I received the Relax+ as, upon reading the ingredients, I found that it was just fish oils. The problem for us being that Kobi has been on fish oil since we got him at 8 weeks (now 5 months) for coat, joints and heart care. Clearly it didn't work for his anxiety! I swapped it out for this one, though, as even though they both have the main EPA and DHA, this one is made with different fish. Unfortunately, there has been no difference. I have read up online and Purina did do a study which showed that it helped a high percentage of dogs, and there are many calming remedies that work for some dogs but not for all. So who's to say that this wouldn't work for others!
Side note: If anyone is worried whether their dog(s) will eat this ok... I've never met a dog that doesn't lap up fish oil, so you should be fine!
I'll start by saying I really wanted this to work. My dog can be quite highly strung despite lost of exercise, training and enrichment. She just really struggles to relax and settle when I'm not around. I wouldn't class it as separation anxiety as she's the same whether she's at home with other family members.
I've been adding this to her breakfast every morning and whilst she's happy to eat it, I've not noticed any positive change in her behaviour at all.
The dosing spoon provided isn't the easiest to use either. Sula would be due 1/2 a spoon as her daily dose due to her weight, but it's not easy to ensure you are not over dosing. My suggestion would be a syringe to ensure accurate dosing.
I will continue to give this to my dog until the bottle is finished in the hope it's just not been long enough to see any results. If by then I see anything positive I will update my testimonial.
I didn't receive a spoon with this but once I worked out that a spoon=1 teaspoon it was very easy to administer, just added the appropriate dose on top of my dog's food. My dog seemed to like it, at least it didn't put him off his food and he gobbled it down, it doesn't smell of much so no added strong smell.
Unfortunately, after two weeks, I have seen no change in my dog's behaviour, he still barks at every little noise while he's in the house which is our biggest issue with his anxiety. So I can't recommend this, although, like with most things, different dogs will react differently. I will continue giving it to him until we finish the bottle.
My dog is usually very energetic but after using this product she became more calm and relaxed when we needed. I recommend for anyone who has a dog and struggles with things like washing their dog or taking the dog to the vet.
