Greetings from Daisy
French Bulldog, 15 Weeks old
My favourite thing about Daisy is...
She looks so inquisitive every moment she is awake and trouble just finds her. So happy, wagging her little stumps tail so hard her whole back end shakes like Shakira! Even though she's still tiny, she has the biggest personality and really puts our other two dogs in their place. Best of all, when I'm on work video calls, she loves to jump on my desk and join in the meeting.
The biggest challenge with Daisy is...
Mmmm, eating number two's is our main challenge, although I think we're turning a corner there, albeit slowly.
The most surprising thing about owning a French Bulldog is...
They really really do think they are in charge, we are there to serve them. I'm surprised daily around their ability to communicate very clearly what they want, need and indeed what they don't want to do.
What I wish I’d known about French Bulldogs is...
How wonderful and friendly a breed they are. We had our first rescue frenchie almost by accident, I was weary and thought it an unfriendly, breed. I couldn't have been more wrong. We rescue breeds now that owners can no longer afford. In this case, they couldn't afford the veterinary bill. We have 3 dogs currently, Daisy being the newest.
Did you know?
In the majority of cases, French Bulldogs can’t swim because of their short snouts, which cause their body to tilt backward to keep their nose and mouth above water, and their large heads and short legs make it difficult for them to stay afloat.
