Greetings from Idris
French Bulldog, 4 years old
My favourite thing about Idris is...
Personality - he is very loyal but full of energy and always up to something. When he's happy he zooms around and is just clearly so happy it's a joy to watch. But at the same time enjoys a lazy day. Hates going out in the rain so would rather chill in the house than go for a walk (which he pesters for when the weather is nice).
The biggest challenge with Idris is...
Stubborn, he is so stubborn and if he wants to do something, getting him to change his mind is very difficult. Very lucky he is so cute, and acts the fool so even when he is playing up its hard to get mad at him because he is playing it up for attention (and knows he can get away with it)
The most surprising thing about owning a French Bulldog is...
Their energy. It took a lot of work and for him to be out of puppy stage before he calmed down (and even now he can still go all day if he feels like it). How much you fall in love with their idiot personality. He knows how to wrap me around his little finger just by back chatting/ messing around.
What I wish I’d known about French Bulldogs is...
How much work is needed to calm them down, get them into reasonably behaved members of the household. And even now he has such an obstinate streak when he fancies it How much their health issues affect day to day life
